SAFETY AND QUALITY
- Premium Collection SUPER WHITE halogen bulbs by Bosma are made from blue-tinted glass with a filter that eliminates the yellow colour, producing light emissions similar to a gas-discharge (xenon) lamp.
- The daylight-like colour and xenon lamp effect effectively improve safety and comfort when driving at night, making it easier to see details and colours on the road and reducing eye strain on long journeys.
- Both the glass element and the top of the bulb are blue-tinted to create a distinctive glow and give the headlights a modern look.
- Premium Collection SUPER WHITE bulbs by Bosma have European approval E4 2Z8, which is the most important factor when choosing automotive bulbs. This approval means they can be used safely on the road.

DESCRIPTION OF STANDARDISED TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
- APPROVAL – the most important thing to look for when choosing automotive bulbs is the approval certificate that allows the product to be used safely on the road.
- VOLTAGE U – it refers to the maximum voltage (expressed in volts (V)) that, when applied continuously to the bulb, will not cause damage to the product while providing optimum lighting performance over its lifetime.
- POWER CONSUMPTION P – it refers to the power consumption (expressed in watts (W)) of the bulb required by relevant standards to produce the correct amount of light of a given colour. Low quality bulbs often exceed current power consumption standards, causing damage to the car’s electrical system.
- LIFETIME B3 – it is the time (in hours) at which 3% of the tested bulbs have failed.
- LIFETIME Tc – it is the time (in hours) at which 63.2% of the tested bulbs have failed.
- LUMENS – it refers to the luminous flux of light expressed in lumens (lm). It determines the power of light in relation to the visual sensation of the human eye that a given model of bulb produces. It characterises the sensitivity of the human eye. This does not mean that light with twice the luminous flux will be perceived as twice as bright by the human eye.
- COLOUR TEMPERATURE Tb – this is an objective measure of the colour impression of a given light source (expressed in degrees of Kelvin (K)).
- Warm white (~ 2900 – 3300 K)
- Daylight white (~ 4000 – 4500 K)
- Cold white (~ 5000 – 6500 K) - MOUNTING TYPE – it determines the unique type of bulb attachment. The parameter represents the correct position of the bulb in relation to the reflective parts of the lamp for its correct installation.
HALOGEN BULBS - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BUY
The light source in halogen bulbs is a filament (wire) made of tungsten. The current heats the filament to a certain temperature until it glows. The whole process takes place in a sealed glass bulb filled with a mixture of inert gas and halogen, usually iodine. Automotive halogen bulbs have a number of different characteristics (e.g. lifetime, lumen, colour temperature) expressed as parameters based on laboratory tests. It is worth looking at these before making a purchase. Light bulbs may look similar, but they differ in design and technology. In addition to the light output and efficiency of the bulb, the most important parameter is the approval certificate that allows the product to be used safely on the road. We recommend replacing the bulbs in pairs to maintain the same colour in both headlights for maximum comfort and safety when driving.
Bosma specialises in automotive light sources. For several years, they have been a guiding light on the roads of Europe. They are continuously working to expand and improve the range and solutions to deliver products that meet the expectations of the most demanding drivers.
